About the role
You’ll join our fermentation team and help us unlock the full potential of our microbial production systems. Your project will focus on optimizing fermentation parameters, improving productivity, and supporting scale-up studies.
Key responsibilities
- Design and run shake flask, and bioreactor experiments.
- Evaluate feeding strategies, induction protocols, and oxygen transfer.
- Perform analytical methods
- Interpret data, visualize results, and propose next steps.
- Support lab operations and help streamline experimental workflows.
- Conducting literature reviews.
- Preparing a well-structured and comprehensive thesis report and presentation.
- Complying with laboratory safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
You are..
- Enrolled in Bio / Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or a related program.
- Familiar with sterile work and experienced with microbial cultivation and ideally lab-scale fermentations.
- Competent and bring good common sense in laboratory techniques, standard molecular biology and/or biochemical techniques.
- Curious, take ownership, and the drive to make things better every day.
- Target oriented, fast learning and willing to take a steep learning curve.
- Excellent in oral and written communication in English.
