Storage and Handling
- Store Dextran 1 in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place.
- Protect the material from moisture, direct sunlight, and excessive heat.
- As a highly water-soluble polysaccharide, dextran can absorb moisture from the environment, which may affect flowability, appearance, and weighing accuracy.
- Handle under clean and dry conditions using suitable laboratory or production hygiene practices.
- After opening, reseal the container immediately and minimize exposure to air and humidity. For best performance, avoid repeated opening of the same container in high-humidity environments.
Recommended storage conditions and retest periods are provided on the product-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Always consult the applicable SDS and product documentation before handling.
